TB-500

What is TB-500?

TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4, a 43-amino-acid protein present in nearly all cell types that regulates actin, the structural protein cells use to move. In research it is used in cell-migration, wound-healing and recovery models where actin regulation and angiogenesis are the questions. Pepstral supplies TB-500 as a lyophilized powder, 5 mg net peptide per vial, tested by an independent US laboratory before listing.

What testing does TB-500 carry?

Lots of TB-500 are tested by an independent US laboratory for identity, content, purity and endotoxin before listing. The certificates on file cover 10 mg; the one for 5 mg is not published yet. Ask us for the lot report before ordering and we will send the one that matches the vial you receive.

How is TB-500 handled and stored?

Sealed vials are stored at -20°C away from light and keep for 24 months. To reconstitute, add bacteriostatic water slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl until clear; never shake. Once in solution, keep at 2 to 8°C and use within our 28-day default for a preserved solution. The concentration table gives the dilution volumes and microlitre aliquots for this vial.
