GLP-1 and metabolic research peptides

Incretin and amylin receptor agonists studied for energy balance, glucose handling and adipose signalling. The compounds here differ by how many receptors they engage: semaglutide acts at GLP-1 alone, tirzepatide adds GIP, and retatrutide adds the glucagon receptor on top of both.

What is the difference between a single, dual and triple agonist?

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. Tirzepatide is a dual agonist at GIP and GLP-1. Retatrutide adds glucagon receptor activity to both, which is why it is described as a triple agonist. Each additional receptor changes what a model can attribute an effect to, so the comparison between them is the point of most study designs.

Why is cagrilintide studied alongside these?

Cagrilintide is an amylin analogue, not an incretin one. Amylin signals through the calcitonin receptor family, so pairing it with a GLP-1 agonist lets researchers separate two appetite and gastric-emptying pathways in the same model.

Which of these dissolve most slowly?

The acylated peptides — semaglutide, tirzepatide, retatrutide and cagrilintide — carry fatty-acid chains that make reconstitution slower than the small peptides in other categories. Swirl rather than shake and give the vial time.

Common questions about glp-1 & metabolic

Do these come with a certificate of analysis?

Yes. Every lot is tested by an independent US laboratory for identity by LC-MS, purity by HPLC-UV at 220 nm and endotoxin by LAL, and the certificate is published before the vial is listed.

What purity are the metabolic peptides?

Every lot in this category is released at 99% or higher by HPLC-UV. The exact figure and the lot number are printed on each product page and on the vial.

Are these for human use?

No. Everything in this category is sold for in-vitro laboratory research only and is not for human or animal consumption, diagnostic or therapeutic use.
