What is GHK-Cu?
GHK-Cu is the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine complexed with a copper(II) ion. It occurs naturally in plasma and declines with age, and it is studied for its role in collagen synthesis, wound remodelling, antioxidant enzyme expression and gene-expression changes associated with tissue repair. Pepstral supplies GHK-Cu as a lyophilized powder, 50 mg per vial, with the copper complex confirmed by LC-MS on every lot.

What is GHK-Cu studied for?
- Collagen and elastin synthesis in fibroblast models
- Wound remodelling and skin-barrier studies
- Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory gene-expression assays
- Hair-follicle and dermal papilla research
All applications above are in-vitro or preclinical research contexts. GHK-Cu is sold for laboratory research only and is not for human or animal use.
What does the certificate for lot GK-2609-A show?
Every lot of GHK-Cu is tested by an independent US laboratory before it is listed. The report for lot GK-2609-A is in the COA library and the lot number printed on the vial matches it. The current results:
| Test | Method | Lot GK-2609-A result |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | LC-MS | Matches the calculated mass for the sequence |
| Purity | HPLC-UV, 220 nm | 99.8% |
| Net peptide content | Amino acid analysis | Stated per vial on the certificate |
| Endotoxin | LAL, chromogenic | < 0.5 EU/mg |
| Sterility | USP <71> | Pass |
How is GHK-Cu handled and stored?
Sealed vials are stored at -20°C away from light and keep for 24 months. To reconstitute, add bacteriostatic water slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl until clear; never shake. Once in solution, keep at 2 to 8°C and use within the 28-day window on the certificate. The reconstitution guide covers volumes and syringe units and the concentration table gives the numbers for this vial.
Frequently asked questions
Is the copper included, or is this GHK alone?
The copper complex. LC-MS on lot GK-2609-A confirms the complexed mass, and the blue colour of the reconstituted solution is the visual check.
Why 50 mg rather than 5 or 10?
GHK-Cu is used at higher concentrations in dermal and fibroblast work than signalling peptides, so the vial is sized for those protocols.
What purity does the certificate report?
99.8% by HPLC-UV, the highest in the current catalog, with endotoxin below 0.5 EU per mg.
Is GHK-Cu for human use?
No. Every product on this site is sold for in-vitro laboratory research only and is not for human or animal consumption, diagnostic or therapeutic use.
